How DUPR verification works

REC+ (recplus.app) does not ask competitive players to type in their own rating. Admission requires either DUPR verification or one vouch from a current member.

Connected ratings sync from DUPR

If you connect your DUPR account, REC+ receives the identity and rating information you consent to share. Your rating then syncs from DUPR. A connected rating is visibly different from a legacy verified rating inside the member app.

We use the synced rating to help determine tier access. Current tiers are 4.0–4.5, 4.5–5.0, and 5.0+.

A vouch is another path

A player can also enter through one vouch from a current member. The vouch is an accountability signal from someone already in the community. It is not an anonymous review and it does not turn self-reported ratings into verified ratings.

What data is shared

REC+ only exchanges data with DUPR if you choose to connect your DUPR account, and only within the consent you provide during that connection. See the FAQ for the short version.
